Father Christmas  name

From the tip of his curly-toed shoes, to the top of his holly-wreath crown, Father Christmas brings forth memories, both real and imagined, of a simpler, more joyful time. Inspired by images from Charles Dickens, J. R. R. Tolkien, and L. Frank Baum, the character of Father Christmas was created as an antidote to the more commercialized image of "Santa," that is too often seen everywhere, selling everything from soda pop to toy guns. Father Christmas, on the other hand, comes to spread good cheer, tell stories, pronounce a Christmas blessing, and add a traditional feeling to any celebration.
