Welcome to the Holmes Jr. High PTA’s sixth annual Stay at Home for Holmes fundraising event.  This year the theme is “Hit the Highway for Holmes”!  The proceeds from this event will help fund grade level grants for supplemental educational activities, including field trips.  The teachers from each grade will determine an appropriate destination that will enhance the curriculum for their grade.  Every student at the school, 7th, 8th, and 9th graders will benefit from these grade level activities.  The teachers have several exciting suggested trips in the works which will broaden and enrich our students’ education.

The “Stay at Home for Holmes” campaign is the PTA’s main fundraiser that is designed to make a significant improvement in one major area at Holmes each year which will benefit all 7th, 8th, and 9th grade students.  Since its inception, the UnFundraiser has made significant financial contributions which have benefited our academic programs.  Last year we raised over $11,000 and our goal this year is to surpass that mark to help us really make a difference in the students’ educational experience.  We are excited about our ability to meet this goal because of the generosity of the Holmes community. 

      Stay at Home for Holmes is our “un-fundraiser” that replaces other major PTA fundraising events that you are familiar with, such as carnivals, auctions, and wrapping paper sales.  Once again, we’ve made it easy for you to support Holmes.  You don’t have to go out, get a sitter, or buy anything.  Your donations will immediately support the needs of the entire student body.  Just complete the enclosed donation RSVP card and send it in with your check made out to “Holmes PTA” by November 16, 2007.  That’s all you need to do!  The Holmes PTA Tax I.D. number is 237-08-4131.
