Davis Industry: Windmills to Robotics, Phase II
The 2011 exhibit featured 20 local industries from high-tech and biotech to individuals producing hand-made items, innovations such as Calgene’s genetically engineered tomato, Whymycles, and flying cars.

Museum honors veterans during month of November 2010 - The Museum honored veterans of the armed forces and the Red Cross volunteers with a special exhibit that ran from Nov. 10-24. An honor roll of those who served from the Davis area through World War II was featured, as well as pictures and mementos of life in the military.
Exhibit of Davis Schools between 1870 to 2009 - opened on October 31, 2009. The exhibit included a high school dance card and a McGuffey reader. Viewers also rang a school bell, found out how Davis kids avoided being Woodland High School graduates, saw a teacher wearing a Civil War jacket, and paid tribute to Valley Oak School. Pictures and mementos of the entire elementary, junior high and high schools in Davis from shortly after the town was founded were on display, as were copies of yearbook pictures from Davis High School. Also featured was a display on “Distinguished Alumni of Davis High School.
Davisville 1868: Twelve Months in Davis’ Gestation. Four parts. February--December, 2008, by John Lofland. Month-by-month and sometimes week-by-week account of the twelve months of 1868 involving the founding of Davis. Originally a quasi-quarterly four-part exhibiit spread over the year of 2008. The first of four quarterly exhibits on the 140th anniversary of Davisville(1868-2008) is available for viewing (see below). John Lofland, the exhibits’ creator, gave it the title “ Davis’ Gestation Period,” and used photocopies from three newspapers of the period – the Solano Press, the Woodland Mail and the Yolo County Democrat – to tell the story, Included are large copies of two maps and a drawing of the 1858 Jerome C. Davis farm. Another temporary exhibit, “Early Davisville/Davis Hotels and Bars,”was completed. A pamphlet presented a brief history of the hotels and bars, which were central to the life in Davisville during the towns early days. See text and digital copy.

History of Davis Bike Lanes - developed by bicycle activist Ted Buehler, is primarily about the history of Davis’ first bike lanes and features maps, pictures and newspaper clippings about their development. One of the artifacts included in the display is the bicycle of former Chancellor Jim Meyer, who rode the bike to his office on campus, as well as all over town, almost to the end of his life. The bike has been lent by his daughter, Susan Meyer. Also, on exhibit are antique toys, furniture, books and other items for children, as well as the permanent exhibits of early Davisville.

Old North Davis: A Step Back into Time, September 1998--December, 1999, by John Lofland. - featured a display on Old North Davis and the book, Old North Davis, Guide to walking a traditional neighborhood by John Lofland (available for purchase). See archive of historical materials.
Exhibits of early Davis industry -- showed early Davis industry, including a windmill factory, silkworm production, farm implement manufacturing, etc. Also, an interesting display of blacksmithing tools and one on the Hunt-Wesson factory.
