No Kings Day. What have we come to That we in our country Must cry out, 'No Kings' Repeating our very history Of opposing George III, Who treated us with disrespect? Leaders who think only of themselves, Lose the confidence of their people And eventually, are deposed. Such wasted energy to protest, When that energy with a benevolent leader, Could have been used for productive pursuits To buoy up society with the positive.
